Can you really not take Remicade if you are allergic to mice? I recently saw an allergist for the first time in my life and it turns out that I am allergic to mice (along with like everything else) and I asked him if that meant I could never use Remicade since it contains mouse protein. When I say I'm allergic to it, I mean I got a big hive where they poked me with the mouse protein in the test. The allergist said I should be able to use Remicade anyways. The GI doctor said "uh, I'm not sure, we'll look into that if you end up needing it." They make it sound like you should only use Humira if you have no luck with Remicade, as if it's worse for you than Remicade is so you should try the Remicade first. If I'd have to go straight to Humira due to the mouse allergies, it also bothers me because there's seemingly few treatments available if that doesn't work either.
What's up with all that? It's frustrating and confusing
