I have also read that fish oil is good for you in many ways, especially reducing inflammation, but that you have to be careful because fish oil can contain mercury and pcb's, since fish are usually ingesting those things in their environment. I read that flax oil is the best non-animal oil source of the omegas that reduce inflammation, and I used to take that all the time. I don't like wasting my flax oil whenever I'm having a flare so I stop, and am flaring almost for the last 4 months, but I do notice that my skin and hair are in much better condition when on the flax oil for an extended amount of time. Can't speak for any other good or bad side effects I've noticed from the flax, and never did try that fish oil.
