alkaline water

so this is my new thing now - alkaline water. check out this link on youtube. it is about kangen water, a japenese brand of machine that alkalizes your water. it is supposed to help detox you and get your body to its natural alkaline state (pH of 7.365 i think). our diet, especially the western/ standard american diet, is one that is highly acidic which promotes dis-ease. so instead of taking green drink to help make your body alkaline, you can do this instead (but i still recommend taking the green drink).

pretty interesting imho. the kangen machine has been around for a while, like over a decade i have heard (and costs like $4,000 US) so the technology is a bit outdated.

i know a guy who has it. he's supplying me with water right now (yes, i have a pusher now). it has a slicker texture to it. i guess cos the pH is much higher on the scale (8-9 range). it is also the best tasting water i've ever drunk. they have 2 units which you'll see on the website. my buddy has the counter top model. pretty small actually. hooks right up to your faucet and still allows you to use the tap water. the filters need replacement in like 1000 gallons or like 3 years.

so i'll be experimenting with this water for a while. the counter top machine is like $2 grand (ouch) so it is on the wish list for me right now, but i am accepting donations ;o)

i hope this doesnt come off like a sales pitch for the machine. i thought some of you may be interested in this. like the makers diet, hyperbaric therapy, and all the other stuff i am finding out, i just like to share what i am finding and doing to myself for your benefit.


changing subjects, up next for me is metabolic typing. i gotta find out my type then tweak my diet accordingly, maintaining the restrictions of the makers/scd of course. this will be a several month experiment. details to come later in a different email.
