I am happy for you and will keep you in my prayers that you can get off the stuff. (I personally am glad every time I can leave my rhuemys office without her mentioning a decrease but I know most people are more concerned about
the evils of long term use rather than the joys of short term releif).

Pitch the Pred! I almost think it's too kind a fate to flush them down the toilet. There are perfectly viable micro-organisms in septic/sewage systems, you know. They have a job to do like anyone else.

Good for you! I was on it for a year, know what you mean.
Diet, Diet, Diet has helped me more than anything. It's hard at first but pays off.
Good Luck You Can Do This!

Thanks everyone!
Gail- I don't have any side effects as long as I do a two week taper. Even then I'd occasionally hit a wall for an additional week. But I have to admit since I cut my sugar in my diet wayyyyyy back and stay away from anything that has benzene or benzyl alcohol as a preservative my sed rates have dropped significantly! The inflamation improved so much within two weeks of changing my diet and removing the preservatives I now have a new problem! I have to go get fitted for a new set of upper choppers....mine don't fit anymore! Now try not to sneeze, fart and blow your teeth at the same time! I'm so talented!

Hi Broom Thank the Lord my teeth are still in my head and good luck getting those teeth fitted. You are making me laugh though and I do enjoy laughing. Oh by the way I don't have to go for dressing changes anymore The wee hole is closing nicely.Whoooo on that. So unless it gets worse again no more drives to the outpatients for that.Cutting sugar and that other stuff certainly seems to be helping you that is great.lol gail
