What are the symptoms of a blockage? The past two days have been horrible, within a hour after eating I get the most nausiating feeling that makes me run to the restroom with the feeling of throwing up. I cough and so on but never bring that much up. Yesterday I laided down for about a hour and then woke up drenched in sweat. I have never had the nueasea before. I was going to cancel a colonoscopy scheduled for next tuesay but decided not to. Im worried this could be a blockage or narrowing, what does it sound like?

Hi MacGyver! The symptoms I had due to strictures were after eating I would feel very bloated and gas pains and cramps. Then when things got really backed up the pains would start. Severe cramping and sharp pains would last for hours and I would also be very nauseous and vomit or dry heave alot. I hated the nauseous feeling. Is any gas moving through you and have you had bowel movements in the past two days. I would definitely try to go to your colonoscopy appt. and see what your specialist thinks. Maybe try a liquid diet for a day if you havent tried that already I always love just hot broth. Good luck and keep us posted how you are.

I have had bowel movements but it seems as though the food moves through and then when it hits a certain part in the intestine stops and thats when the pain and nausea hits, its as though it is going through but what should take a short amount of time is just taking forever to push through, causing the intense pain.

Well I called my doctor at the Cleveland Clinic, she said to call if I got worse, I say this is worse. Hopefully I hear back soon.

Well she just called and upped my pred to 40mg a day, good but bad, we all know. Wish me luck tuesday
