possible stricture

Hi, I have not seen this website for about 5 years, I am glad that I came back. I would like to know if anyone has any information on how to protect your job when you are in a flare, and have trouble making to work everyday. My job only has 9 employees so there is no FMLA. The Dr thinks that I have a possible stricture in my small bowel. We are trying different meds before we go as far as remicade again. I get alot of gurgling in my stomach, that is the only thing that causes me pain is when that is moving around, once it moves the pain goes away. I have been at my job for 5 years, and they have worked with me for years with this, but I have missed too much work this year already, because of my pain. I had surgery in Jan 2004 with an iliostomy for 9 months, I was fine until Oct 2007. At first I was getting so much pain that I was throwing up with direaha, I just don't want to lose my job, so I am trying to find out what my rights are and if I can keep my job. I live in PA.
