Ok my eye with the Scleritis in it really hurts and it feels dry and crap I just feel lousy all over!

If I don't hear back from my doctor today I am tempted to go to the ER.  What do you all think?  I am really getting scared now.

You only get two eyes-go to the er.

Definitely go to the ER! Nobody cares about your health as much as you do!!

Thanks everyone!  Your prayers and thoughts mean a lot to me!

I was able to connect with my eye doctor and he put me on oral prednisone.  He is also going to run blood work today and check me for everything that they see cause Scleritis from an Opthamologist's point of view.  Honestly, as bad as this sounds, I hope something shows up soon just because it is hard to be in limbo--knowing something isn't right but not knowing what that is.

You all are so great on here!  You listen to me and don't judge me and I really appreciate that!  :-)

I am glad you connected with your Dr.  I understand limbo well, it is so difficult to not think about what the outcome is going to be so I will send you good vibes and know I am thinking of you.

Once you have had any type of eye inflamation you need to find and keep a relationship with a good opthamologist. If I cal mine and say my eye is swollen he works me in that day regardless of his schedule. If he is already treating me for active inflamation and I call to say the treatment isn't working he also gets me in that day.
Of course that is why in an earlier post I thouroughly described my four hour visit to his office-he treats all of his patients that way so any time I have an appointment where I am not in distress I have to wait while he sees the work ins that are in distress.
For me though that is a fair trade. When I have scheduled appointments every 6 months I just take the whole day off work knowing it is impossible to guess how long I will be there. When my eye is swollen and painful and I am frightened about what might be wrong I see him right away and he knows so much that he can ususally tell me exactly what is wrong, how long it will take to fix it and when to call him if something does not go as planned.
