Hielp I have to be admitted I have intusseption I am so scared

Please pray for me I am gettting admitted I just got home and they said I have to get back in the city and I have to have emergency surgery I have intusspetion??? I am so scared.

I'm sorry you're going through emergency surgery, Nikki. I admit - I don't even know what an "intusspetion" is, but it is good that they are willing to address the issue immediately I guess...

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers...

I know surgery is scary but if you're all scarred up and they remove the damaged portions it'll help you feel better. Good luck!

Nikki, I know you're scared and anytime you have emergency surgery it doesn't give you anytime to prepare, but if this is causing an obstruction, you'll finally have an end to the pain. Good luck, let us know how you're doing when you can.

Chris I am so sorry that you have had such frightening news. But I am also relieved that your GI got you in and insisted on doing the enteroclysis. Imagine what might have happened if you had convinced him to let you have a trial of prednisone. It just doesn't bear thinking about. This is an emergency, but it sounds like you are in good hands. But are you ready to fess up yet? You've must have been in a lot of pain recently haven't you?

It sounds like your GI doesn't think this is going to resolve without intervention, so the sooner he gets in there the better. I hope they will be able to just squeeze the prolapsed segment of bowel out and not have to resect, but if a resection is necessary the bright side of the picture is that you will be rid of the diseased segment of bowel and ready to start fresh.

Intussusseption is serious so you are SO lucky it was caught in time sweetie!
It is the loops of intestine "telescoping" in itself and can lead to serious problems.
Your surgery will help straighten it out or remove the nasty twisty part of the bowel.
Whoever diagnosed you saved you!
