Hi, I saw my GI today been sick for three months.  He put me on Osmoprep for a Colonoscopy tomorrow and I started my dose at 6:00 p.m. now 8:30, nothing yet?  Is this normal.  I haven't eaten today or much the days before, but shouldn't something be coming??  I feel nauseated.  Any ideas?  ASAP

I've never used osmoprep but my suggestion would be to drink as much water as you can stand. Things should start moving soon.

Make sure you drink plenty water to flush your system.

Iv'e done OsmoPrep twice,and it worked within an hour for me,it's alot of pills,isn't it??

Good luck with the scope :-)

It took me well over 3 hours to get results from it. I was not able to get all the pills down because I just couldn't drink anymore water because I was so full. It's not a plesant wait, but it will start working.

I've taken OsmoPrep twice. The first time, it started working within the first FEW hours. The second time the BIG D didn't start until after 1AM!!!!

So how did it go???

Hi Guys,  Thanks for your responses.  It took two hours to start and then all night.  Now I'm second dosing and worried it's not going to start before I leave for my scope.  I have been sick since first of year.  Upper Bacterial infection in my head, ear infections.  Two doses of antibiotics, which gave me C Diff.  Then horrendous cramping and constant D.  Finally after two trips to Urgent Care, saw my GI yesterday and he scheduled me today for a Colonoscopy at 4:30.  I'm Mountain Standard.  Appreciate your responses.  These pills seem slow.  I will let you know what they find.  I have been on Remicade for 3 years.  He just took me off Methotrexate and everything went bad.  Oh and also an anal fissure.  So I've been on alot of stuff and lost 18 pounds.   Good news, I have it to lose.  So thanks again,
