I drink a lot water in the morning. I'll have had 3 full glasses before I leave the house. This morning I had to take my kitty in to see the vet. That went ok, cept I had to climb a ladder to get her off the valance over the living room window. She always seems to perceive when it's time for a vet visit.
While I was in the vet's office I felt the urge to pee. But it wasn't bad. It was just about
time to go home and I was just finishing up writing a check. The drive home is about
20 minutes. All was well. I knew I could wait.
By the time I parked my car on the street where I live, I had to go pretty badly. Usually if that happens, I can sit a couple more minutes and the urge will go away long enough for me to get inside the house. There are several steps going up to my sidewalk, and the sidewalk is about
70 feet from my front door. Okay...I'm scoping it out and think I can make it without sitting the extra couple of minutes.
I jump out of the car, walk around to the passengers side and grab the cat carrier and fling it over my shoulder (cat yelling all the while). The cat weighs about
20 lbs. and the wind is gusting about
40 mph. I only weigh 95 lbs. The wind catches the cat carrier and the cat is jumping around. I can hardly walk and the urge to pee is at a fever pitch.
I got up two of the steps and it started. I couldn't hold it back. My estimated front door arrival time was severely hindered by the weight of the cat, the wind hitting me, the cat carrier and blowing me off balance. I couldn't even hold myself because there were two neighbors hollering and waiving hello at me across the yard. By now I am merrily peeing as I'm walking. I still had the 70 feet to go yet. So what did I do? NOTHING! I continued trying to walk and I continued to pee. And it wasn't just a normal pee. It was a full blown bladder release. And then I started laughing real hard. Yeah, that helped. I peed the whole length of the sidewalk. Luckily I had on black pants and it didn't show. Thank God it wasn't my gray sweats that I usually wear on weekends. When I got close to the house I just stopped for a minute to finish peeing before entering the house. I swear there was a stream running down the sidewalk.
I haven't peed my pants since I was a toddler. On one hand I was totally mortified. On the other it was pretty funny. And how was your day? LOL! By the way, the cat if fine. Just a check-up kind of thing.
