Coping with IBD, increasing awareness

I have struggled with Crohn's Disease for more than 12 years and am interested in increasing awareness and understanding of both CD and Ulcerative Colitis. I'm pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology ..............

Hey there, I have notices in just my 6 years of being diagnosed that more people understand what it is you have or have a friend or relative that has experiences Crohn's or IBS. Hardly ever do I meet someone who says "what"? I think it is growing. We noticed a commerical about Crohn's on T.V. this week, that was a first. It takes time, but I think we can make it happen.

Hey, Gail.

I'm doing pretty good with my Crohns right now. I had a small bowel resection in 2005, which helped alot with symptoms...even when I was technically in remission, I had problems due to scar tissue.

I take Remicade every 2 mo. But, I just recently had my dose doubled. It seems it's not working as well as it used to. Cross your fingers that it is still working!
