Any connection between crohn's and stomach cancer? I really appreciate the advice I got about how to handle the heartburn. I started reading about my symptoms and they parallel the beginning stages of stomach cancer. You read enough stuff, you can really get spooked! I've had crohn's for two decades and this heartburn stuff is new to me along with the stomach spasms. I used to just get blood in my stool when I accidentally ate dairy. Speaking of cancer, are crohn's patients more suseptible to rectal, stomach or colon cancer?

i dont know about any connection to stomach cancer, but i have heard that there is one with colon cancer, as in an elevated risk, hence it is a good idea to get a colonoscopy every 3 years regardless...or so i am told.....

Why dont you have a PET scan they can find out whats wrong.

I have had Crohns for over 30 years and I can tell you its very common for us to have Acid Reflux problems. Many of us take meds such as Prilosec, Nexium etc. I have been taking Prilosec for years.
