I was on remicade for just over 3 years and it used to work great for me. When I orginally started, it was every other month, but soon moved to every month at the max dose of 10. Little by little, the remicade start not lasting quite as longer and I was forced to try to assist it with other medications such as 6-mp and methotrexate injections. I did the best when I was on both 6-mp and remicade, but it caused my liver enzymes to go out of sight. The methotrexate with the remicade made me very sick and now the remicade only works for about
a week, so my doctor took me off of it. I tried to switch over to humira about
a year ago, but it made me so sick that I figured that a week or 2 of good remicade results was worth more to me than the humira results. I would recommed remicade for anyone that has not responded to the lower classes of medications, but I was advise them to wait as long as they could before starting them. I am all of medications to use and surgery is not an option just yet. Good luck.
