Thank goodness for my "potty van"

Nah Fitzyk, it's just as easy for him to keep driving, heck during my periods I might have to use it more frequently and if he kept pulling over, we'd never get to where we are going...besides, we do that at home infront of eachother all the time, we've been together 25 yrs so there's no issues with pooping infront of one another. I'm just smart enough not to stay in the bathroom when I know what he's doing, man, talk about "killing the cat"...besides, when we're in the van and I have to use the potty, he rolls his window down too LOL, can you picture some dude with his head hanging out the window while driving LOL, okay, it's not that extream but considering the topic you would think that's what it's like.

I myself have used a bucket. But, I have tinted windows in my van and I think it would be wonderful for these type of occasions. The kids and myself were talking about this, they now drive and I used to drive them and have a horrible time in the morning hoping I could make it home. You either laugh or cry or both. LOL! Good for you for being resourceful and sharing. We have all been there one time or another. Take care of yourself!

I'm curious too, Fitzy. How do you clean it, pb? And how do you get a water supply in your van for flushing?

I line mine with plastic grocery bags (I double them up of course) and then right after use I tie up the bag(s) and despose of it first chance. I don't like the idea of using the liquid and flushing it because if it ever tipped over that would be a gross mess especially since the van floor is fully carpeted.

Using the bags to line the inside of the bowl works out okay for me, much easier than if I used it the way it was intended...then I'd have to invest in the liquid stuff you use for it in order to flush and it's alot easier this way rather then dumping the catcher and rinsing it out.

Yup...my potty van is my security blanket for whenever I leave my house...living in a small town (only takes 5 minutes to get anywhere) I have on the odd occassion gone in the car with my hubby, he drives a little faster than usual for my benefit and I haven't had an accident in his car, but that's only been a few times...it feels good to actually get into a car on the odd occassion just to see how things will go, but I feel most comfortable in my van for sure.

Great ideas, but I like to get back there, get the job done and get the heck back to the front ASAP...I could eat popcorn (it doesn't bother me) but when I'm back there doing my business, last thing on my mind is eating LOL!
