For the past two years I have had D at least 5 times at the best 20 at the worst, I started Humira in Feb and the starting of this month in May, I got CONSTIPATED that was such a shock... My GI wanted to do the camera pill, but I called him because I didn't want that stupid pill stuck in me.. He gave me miralax, it took 3 days to get me going again....I have pain on my right side and when I was constipated I looked like I could deliver any day....I feel sick to my stomach most of the time and I don't eat very much and I hurt all the time... Could this be the starting of a blockage??? confused My GI wants to do a C-scan first, will that show if I'm starting to get a blockage???

Ne Ne, if you have inflammation, it maybe is enough to cause partial obstruction. But you are taking Humira
so you're inflammation should be down. In your case however, it may not be working as well as it should.

I would go have your cat scan, at least it might put your mind to rest. Good luck...

The CT scan is definitely pretty accurate about finding complete blockages and such...


I've heard that with some CT scans, though, they don't always catch low-grade partial blockages... If you get the CT scan done... and nothing shows up and you're still worried... a colonoscopy would probably be a good idea...

Hi Ne Ne I agree with the others that a scan will tell if something is blocked bloating was one of my symnptoms as well as V and D and bad pains. Let us know how things progress. lol gail

It very possibly could be a partial blockage. Try staying on liquids for a few days and see if it passes. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Yes, staying on liquids for a few days is what I do when I suspect that I may be partially blocked. It happens often so I can tell by the amount of nausea I have, the bloating and back pain.
Boost or ensure will keep you going, but also drink lots of water, warm water if you can stomack it... If things don't resolve in a few days , be sure to see your GI .
I sometimes massage my tummy , flat on my back ..... it is painful but I find it helps get things moving if you are partially blocked.
