My boyfriend and I are talking about buying our first home and when I am looking at listings one of the most important things to me is if it has 2 bathrooms, 1 bathroom makes it a deal breaker lol.

Same for me,if we go on holiday the place has to have 2 bathrooms,one for me and one for everyone else,

Don't forget when planning holidays that most hotels have large bathrooms in their lobbys, by the pool, by the gym, by the bar, and by the resturant. I prefer those over my room bathroom because no one from my party can smell it after!!! And it is fun coming up w/ creative reasons to go downstairs. My only fear is that on one of my bathroom excursions the elevator will get stuck!

I built a house last year...not only were 2 bathrooms a MUST, the location of the bathrooms were important to me, too.  I definitely needed 1 downstairs.

I built with a "cookie-cutter" contractor as I can't afford a "custom-built" home...and the MAJORITY of their floor plans had just "half-baths" downstairs and they were either located in the KITCHEN or right off the DEN!!!

Uh yeah, let me go to the bathroom right next to where everyone is eating...or watching TV. 

I swear, I just don't think builders think ENOUGH about BATHROOMS!

I love those restaurants who are smart enough to pipe music into the bathrooms...BRILLIANT.

I have moved countless times, and one thing to keep in mind, stay calm, I got sick every time I moved except the last 3 times, cause I figured it out. When I moved where I am now, there was only one bathroom! My husband is very handy and built me a dream bathroom, toilet, jaquizzi and sink. 12x12! Nice.

Yep, I agree! Our current house has a large master bath with the toilet in its own little room with a good fan, I love it! Karen

I'm thrilled to have three and we're a family of 4, but soon to be cut down to 3 as my oldest is leaving home the end of July...the bathroom in my ensuite is all mine, but when I'm downstairs in the basement it's nice to have the one there so handy.

I never thought I'd ever be so happy about having 3 full baths, it's amazing what having bowel issues can do to ones priorities.

I am glad I am not alone with my bathroom requirements. I would not even look at a house that did not have a bathroom on each floor!

this thead makes me giggle. :)

i recently moved out of my parents' 5000sq/ft house with 5 bathrooms and bought my own townhouse with my fiance that has only 2; a full bath upstairs between the two bedrooms (ugh) and a half bath right inside the front door. the fans that are in both bathrooms are terrible and i can't wait to replace them. they produce a decent amount of noise (which is good) but don't seem to do much at ALL for the air movement. :sigh: my fiance has IBS, so she understands and is very supportive. it just sucks when we have company. i'm used to being able to hide away in one of the upstairs bathrooms with no fear of anyone knowing.

Problem solved for me-don't leave the house! Sad. I did receive a gift card from a major store retailer about a year ago, because I had gone to the bathroom so many times that they thought I was stealing. This disease really does have its quirks.

Oh I know that feeling, I was so happy our house had 2 bathrooms when we bought it. The apartment we had before that only had 1 bathroom, and there were times I just couldn't wait until someone got out. It was awful!

I manage on vacations however, I've yet to find many hotels that have 2 bathrooms that aren't suites.

After my fiance read up on Crohn's one of the first things he said was I'm glad we have two bathrooms. We agree 2 bathrooms will be a requirement when ever we buy a new house.
