Itching

As my doctor prescribed me, I am taking Nystatin orally, two pills twice a day to ease my itching problem in annal area or rather rectum area - even in vulva area. I do not have any pain or any other discomfort except itching, especially at night. I take shower after using toilet, and I notice that very hot water helps me a lot, but after a while itching comes back. Any advice or suggestion, because I see no help of using nystatin (I have been taking it for 4 days, and should take it for 7 days)

strange you say it drives you bananas because my guess its the potassium imbalance that is causing itching. I personally dont like bananas because they are so extreme in the potassium, but you could check your level from a blood test.
