I just drink ridiculously amounts of water to keep from getting dehydrated. If I don't drink tons and tons of water then I get an awful headache and get really REALLy dehydrated. I force myself to drink sssoooo much water. It gets a little annoying, but it keeps the dehydration and dehydration headaches away. I don't drink ginger ale and definitely don't do gatorade or any other type of sports drink, but thats just me.
I hope you feel better soon!! Keep us posted! And drink drink drink (even though it gets annoying)!
I agree with you. I drink every day 2 liters of water on top of the other liquids every day when I am not in a flare. If I flare up I drink any where from 2 - 4 liters depends on how much I sit on the throne. I too have problems with dehydration and even if I am in a flare or not I end up in the hospital at least once or twice a month dehydrated. The same as when I am not in a flare up I still have lose stools some days and others days are fine. Crohn's is a frustrating disorder and we take the good with the bad.
I do know that others do use power drinks, soda pop and now aloe drinks. I haven't tried them to keep hydrated so can't help you there. I have just found that I am water monkey.
Good luck
