I doubt they will fire you when you return. If you were to sue it sure would look bad on their part.
I would make sure you have all the paperwork filled out and copies with you.
Also, Call HR and let them know your supervisor has not responded. I am in HR and I usually deal with the people out and then I contact the Supervisor letting them know any restrictions the employee might have.
If your Dr released you to full duty then I would go in at your usual time. if the Dr said restricted duty then you can call HR and ask if you can be accomendated with the restrictions...
