I am very bloated with my crohn's flare.  I had a CT scan with contrast that showed no obstruction but inflammation in my terminal ileum and a sigmoid scope showed 2 ulcers in my rectum.  I also have a RV fistula.  I have never been swollen like this all over my stomach up to my breast bone.  I feel like I did when I was pregnant.  I also hurt right above my rib cage above stomach but they want do a upper GI because they said even if it is crohns there of an ulcer I am being treated and just increased my Prevacid to bid.  Don't understand... I have not had D since Sat but I also stopped eating after Mon until today.  I thought that might be the reason but Sun I was swollen too just not this bad.  Thanks for any suggestions.

that sounds awful! how are you today? have you had an bms? I have no suggestions, but if this is a new bloating perhaps you need to call the doc or go to er. take care

I can relate to your bloating I just came out of a very short remission and I have been so bloated and nfeeling like I also am 9 months pregnant. They did a CT Scan and told me that I had fluid around my liver and I was distended with gas I have tried Gas X ANd multiple antacids and gas products but cant get relief either. And all my Drs of course are on Vacation,I dont get it !!!!!!

It sounds like you are reacting to something you are taking. I am guessing that it is your stomach that is swollen and not just from gas? Since you were fasting, maybe it is one of your meds? You need to get it checked.

ALI9 - if it is your lower gut that is filled with gas, that is likely from bacterial action on undigested starches or sugars. Try eliminating them all for a while to test that idea.
