Hi folks,
After 3 years of a great remission, I'm now cramping and carpping and moaning and groaning and you know all the rest that goes with it.
I went to ER last week and they sent me home with pred and vicodin and ativan. Gave me a shot of pred while I was there. Gave me a shot of something that put me into a zone where I saw the doorknob on the door start to slide down the door. (good stuff!)
I've never taken pred orally and I have to take 50mgs. for 4 days. Then I get to see my GI when he gets back from vacation. So I have two questions:
1. Why are doctors always on vacation?
2. At what time of day should I take the pred? I don't care for the thought of insomnia. It's already hard enough to get a good night's sleep. If it were to give me insomnia, should I take it first thing in the morning, so I'm tired by bed time? Or should I take it at bed time and try to fall asleep before it kicks in? Any ideas?
