 Saw my regulor doc today and he looked over the rash, pulled some reference books and showed me pictures that look alot like what I have. He thinks its crohns related. This could explain why nothing gets rid of it. So it looks like crohns is not satisfied with eating up my insides,nooooooo, it has to chew up the outsides too. Just stinking lovely...One good thing though . Next time some idiot tells me I dont look sick , I can say see these arms you B hole,,,do they look healthy?????

If it is Crohn's related, you may be able to slow it down using vitamin E. I saw somewhere that vitamin E inhibits IgE which is the circulating immune globulin that triggers allergy-like symptoms in mast cells. Just add a 400 iu tablet to your vitamin intake.

That really stinks, Sniper!!! But now that the Doc thinks its CD, did he have ideas about how to treat it???

I agree that sucks! I am curious about how your doc is going to treat it now too. Keep us posted.

Sniper...I am really interested in what you are going to do for this now.  Did the doc give you a name for the condition so I can look up pics too?  I have been shown pics of pityasis, fifth disease and severla other conditions that match my skin issues.  I would love to have a name to throw out there when it happens again.

I wonder if you couldn't try rubbing some virgin coconut oil on it? My stepmom swears by the stuff for all sorts of skin issues for herself and our dogs. I would obviously try a small patch first to make sure there's no adverse reaction to it smilewinkgrin

MJ8, in the world today, where would I find a virgin coconut??? Sorry guys so far I have only been told to use Sarna anti itch lotion , cold compress when it really itches, and stay away from hot water. Hes going to look at it again in two months and also will have done a little more research by then. Didn't really have a name just crohns related rashs. I will keep you up to date. May have to change my name to hound dog..

Hey VV, the rash is on my arms and legs,,,,,not my head. The nice thing about being folliclely challenged though is how fast I can get ready in the morning. I use to wash my face and comb my hair. Now I wash my head and comb my face. Odd how beards dont get thin. Maybe I need a face lift. Can they put my face on top of my head ? Probably not, but if they could,,,,things would be looking up...I could catch grapes tossed in the air better...hmmmm. Draw backs would be no way to wear a hat, sun glare, and worse of all,,,,,Birds.
