It's been a long time since I have been on this forum.....since I was last sick (2 years ago). I have been recently getting back on because to seek information.
I see a lot of the same people posting. I think it is great to have such caring people in the world who dedicated themselves to talking and sharing information with strangers.
Here is some information on me:
I was diagnosed with crohn's in 2003, at the age of 23. I have had stints of Prednisone, Pentasa, and Remicade. I also had surgery in 2005.
My GI is Dr. Ashkar at the Cleveland Clinic - I am blessed that it is an hour away and that I receive some of the best care available.
Currently, I am having a horrendous flare-up. I am on Endocort. I had a CT scan last week and the results showed active crohn's. I had a colonoscopy Wed.....but I had narrowing so bad they could go that far.
I sense another surgery. But I have to wait for the biopsies to come back. Dr. Ashkar is going to put me on Humira when theings start to get under control. Who know's when that will be.
If anyone has any comments, suggestions, or information.....please pass them on to me.
Thanks! Hope everyone else is feeling great today!!
