Disfiguring mosquito bites....

Okay, the seasons are just ever so slightly starting to change, and I can finally dare to venture outside.(It has been one long hot summer....still getting tob be 108 during the day.) But we have also had a bit of rain. Lovely, but, Hades sent the mosquitoes with the rain. I have tried to garden, and I look like I have the measles or the pox. Heck, not even the Deet is scaring them off.(Not sure, but kinda feel funny after applying the deet, and have to take a shower after...anyone else had side efffects due to DEET?)

Okay, so my post has two purposes. One to vent. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrg. Finally get to go outside and get swarmed by stupid, hungry, getting fatter, blood-sucking, horrid, despicable, infinite negative adjective, mosquitoes! My legs, which were starting to look better, now look hideous!!:( Second purpose; does this have to do with the Humira, prednisone, or the CD itself?

Wait a minute, I have a third question....I have to take my next Humira Dose on in 2 days...would any of you consider this a contraindicating factor in taking the next dose?

Are you sure all of it is mosquito bites? CD can cause little itchy bumps that look, and feel like bites, except thay last for a long time and scar. Some folks get them so badly their legs look like they have scabies, or a serious flea problem. I only get 2-3 at a time, and usually on the fingers or hands. Only rarely do I get them on my legs.

If they are truly mosquito bites (hate those buggers and I love your description!), I have a great home remedy. Mom always told us to dampen a finger and make a swirl of bar soap, then rub that on the spot. It always seemed to take the itch away and the swelling right after it. I use liquid antibacterial soap now and it works too.
