FRUSTRATED

 an someone tell me if blood in urine is a sign of a fistula?  What are the symptoms?  I've read so much on CD, my eyeballs are crossed.  Prednisone is not working as well anymore, and Doc wants me Remicade.  I hate these side effects of the steroids.  My face looks like a fat cherib, and I'm eating like a beached whale.  Unfortunately, my cravings are for sweets.  How wonderful for an already overweight!

I've had blood in my urine forever now. The urologist says it's not enough to warrant a culture and the urine tests are fine otherwise. I don't have any significant kidney issues or stones. I periodically have urine flow problems (from the speed of light to slow as a snail) and urgency without infection? I wouldn't consider it a fistula right away...UTI would be the first thing I would consider. If it's persistant and you do not get the answers you need from your PCP ask for a referral to a urologist. Gee Whiz...it's made a big difference for me!

Thanks to all of you! My doc says It's probably a UTI, it just seems weird that I don't have any pain. Guess I'm lucky on that part, yeaaa
