What should I ask my doctor???

So I see my doc on Wednesday...I dont know what to ask him. Since its obvious that my success on 6mp was very short lived...I was so optimistic especially after reading about so many people who went into 5 year plus remissions on the drug. I have to admit Im bummed and a bit scared...whats the next step? Is it Surgery? Is there another teir of drugs? If 6 mp did not work why would we think Humira or any thing else would?

HI People seem to respond to different meds and diet changes . If you need surgery I'am sure your GI will let you know or the symptoms. I know it can be discouraging to have to go threw the what next thing when sometimes we took a lot of hashing things over in our heads to get started on one. Hope you can get something worked out. lol gail

I didn't respond well to 6mp. I didn't respond well to ANY drug until Remicade. gachrons is right - people respond very differently to different meds. Don't give up hope yet! In addition to other med choices, there's also allergy testing and diet modifications - these seem to be helping a lot of us crohnies who are running out of options.

I'd read up on TNF blockers if you haven't already (Humira, Remicade, etc.), because that's one thing the doc should offer as an option and you may as well have your questions on TNF blockers ready to fire.
