Can anybody share a link/source for the claim that Crohnies aren't supposed to take Pepto-Bismol?
I'm skeptical of this. Pepto-Bismol does not contain aspirin. The active ingredient is bi****h subsalicylate, which is a chemical cousin of aspirin, but it is not aspririn and does not have the anti-platelet properties (and, hence, the bleeding risks) associated with aspirin.
From everything I've seen, Pepto is considered safe for Crohnies. If I'm wrong about this, I'd love to be educated!
