Hi Guys,

first off I want to say a large thankyou to all who helped in my previoud thread. I am most greatful.

I got some bad news in the family yesterday, My brother in law was told that he has a rear form of cancer on the anas. It has been there for years according to the hospital, but it is that slow growing that it has now only started to bother him.

However, they have advised that they cutr it all away when they byopsied (sp,I KNOW), and that he does not need chemop or other treatments. Just theought I would share the excellent news with you nice people.

Hi Julie,

Thanks for your kind words. He will be grand. He says he has never felt as good in his life. Go Figure. The got it all cut away, but they expect that it will return time and time again. So, they will take him in every three months to have it sorted.

gachrons he has never been as good, or so he tell us. Its true what they say, you release how luck you are when you get something like cancer and can come out the other end that well.

I remember reading somewhere that if you apply a saturated solution of a vitamin C salt (like calcium ascorbate) to a cancerous skin lesion, it will kill the cancer cells. Maybe that would be worth trying? It certainly is not a dangerous thing to do. At worst it might not help. The saturated solution is made by pouring out a capsule and adding a bit of water to the powder so that some but not all of the ascorbate is dissolved. Use only the dissolved liquid part.

conorconan, that is awful news about your brother in law. thank goodness they could cut it all out, especially considering the area it is in. I hope he continues to do so well. Thoughts are with you and your family.  How are you feeling lately?

I know it os quite a shock to us, but like water of a ducks back to him. He seems to be 100%. For the first time today, I seen him eating a meal and a desert. That is a first in over two months. Amazing the courage people can find when they need to. I always say God does not let bad things happen to good people, he is one of the best.

As for me, the bleeding has finally stopped this past two days. However, the body hurts like hell some times. Espically the left and right side of the colon, and just below the belly botton. My legs hurt really bad and my back is starting to hurt. But you know what, I am alive and looking to a good future. My wife and I are expecting our second Child ( found out two weeks ago, was confirmed by the doc on monday) and whatever this is, will not beat me.

Guys ince again, you all have been a GREAT HELP to me. I cannot thank use enough for that. I am really glad that I found his forum.

Tagging onto Keepers suggestion, cancer thrives in the presence of sugar, and dies in its absence. Maybe a lo-grain/lo-sugar diet may help? Also, I have read of an oncologist (Dr. Simoncini) who has been successful treating cancer using sodium bicarbonate. Cancer and fungus share unique properties. Cancer has been known to respond to anti-fungal treatments.

Well to bring a little humor today I think it is ironic you spelled rare "rear" since cancer of the anus is a "rear form of cancer."

Yes, it is hard to understand what life hands us sometimes but I agree, enjoy what we have and really see the simple beautiful things each day. I am so happy for you and your wife....having another a baby. What a blessing.....congratulations!!!

I am glad your bleeding has subsided. I am suffering terribly right now too with joint pain, not fun at all.

Hi Guys' thatnks for the suggestions. I notice my mistake, by spelling rear and not rare. One of theose days. Thanks for the congrats Smile, we are really looking forward to it. It is a real privilage to have that blessing given to us for a second time.

I started to bleed again this morning, awh well, it was fun whilst the bleeding had stopped. I hope you are feeling a bit better with the joint pains. What meds do you use for this?

Also, does anyone else get really bad back pain?

I don't take much for the joint pain, if it is really bad trying to sleep then I will take a couple extra strength tylenol and that seems to take the edge off. I am not even close to how bad some are with the joint pain so far. It has only started to bother me alot in the last 6 months, my fingers and my shoulder and right knee are what keep me up some nights with the pain.

Hot baths, heating pads, massage and yoga really help.  Sorry to hear your bleeding has started again :(

Hi Guy's, thanks for the replies. I am not sure what goes on with peoples bodies with Chron's, but mine is to pat. LOL... Wish I smoked pot, a few hav asaid it is good for Chron's. LOL...

My bleeding was very light compaired to what it has been, but it still bleeding non the less.

I am glad that you do not get the really bad joint pain like a lot of the guys, this has only just started on me but darn does it hurt.
