So it turns out that my sinus infection wasn't a sinus infection, or thats the current theory. After 7 weeks, they now think that I have had a migraine. I spent the day in the ER yesterday and within 10 minutes of getting some shot of whatever my neurologist told them to give me, my 7 pain I had been having for sooooo long went down to a 3. They kept me there until they could give me another shot at 2 in the morning, and then sent me home. I am now finally able to function again. I still have some head pain, but they gave me some nasal migraine med and it is helping, so maybe they finally got it right. I hate that for weeks all the doctors agreed that it had to be a sinus infection that wouldn't clear, even after looking at my sinuses.
I just wish I knew why all of a sudden I was getting migraines. This was not an issue in the past. It may be some side effect of one of/combo of my meds, age, or some other issue. But I want it to stop. I have been having migraines for about 3 years, but nothing like this, and I don't want to go through this again. So I will be talking with the doctor to see what we can do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
