Fistula Question....

I am going to the gyno tomorrow and the GI on Thursday because I am draining (I think urine) and found an extra hole...    I am guessing it is a fistula...

My question is....    In previous threads, not many people mention surgery to repair the fistula....     Is surgery not a good option?   I think I would probably rather have surgery and be done with it????      Rather than hope and wait for it to heal?

Thoughts??

I have a fistula remaining from having an abscess drained and the surgeon said it takes people with Crohn's a very long time to heal down there. He said healing with surgery could take as long as having it heal on its own which helped me make the decision not to have surgery.
