Fistula=MRI

The doc confirmed with me today that I do have a fistula.... He is going to send me for an MRI to get a better look.

Has anybody heard of getting an MRI for this?

Hi I had SBFT and lots of test so now I don't know for sure but it sounds like it would do the trick . How you feeling about things? lol gail

Hi I had an MRI where they detected my fistula though now they are doing a colonoscopy for a better look I'd rather be having another MRI! all the best

Yes. They stick a small, thin probe up your bottom so that they can better see the fistulas.

ps. They did for me, anyway. They might be able to see yours with a plain, uninvasive scan.

Yes. MRIs are the best for seeing fistulas.

for me, they were looking for a fistula up in my transverse colon --thank goodness it wasn't there! However, I had to drink a lighter barium drink which I wasn't planning on. My MRI turned out to me an MRI enterography. Good luck!!!
