I've been having more pain circulating all through my abdomen. I went in to see my GI and they sent me in for another ct scan. I had blood work done and everything came back not just normal, but excellent. My ct scan didn't show anything up so, I'm wondering what is going on!? Is anyone having a same experience? Thanks!

Hi Joseph...I put a title to your thread as you will get more answers usually that way ..also wknds are sometimes slower so have patience and I do someone will have some ideas for you

I have not had a CT scan yet, but all of my bloodwork has always been normal, except for the rise in my WBC from the prednisone. Have you had the pill cam and/or upper and lower scopes yet or recently?

I often get pain that comes and goes and sometimes it varies from day to day. Some days are just plain miserable!

Hi there, I started with circulating pain all throughout my abdomen. The most servere was my lower abdo by my pelvis and my right side. Most recently those pains have gotten manageable however I have agonizing pains where my gall bladder use to be and to the right of it. The pains will get so bad that it stabbs through to my spine and makes it alost unbarable. When I try to sit or move it feels like I'm squishing something. I spoke to my GI about it because I had my gall bladder removed last year and he sent me for a ultrasound which was normal, CAT was normal and bloods were fine anemia and a low liver enzyme. Now I've been feeling crazy because of this unexplainable pain. I have a huge work up coming in two weeks colo, endo and the capsule hopefully that will shed some light on whats going on. So I understand your questions and fustration. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Circulating pain sounds like Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Gas moving through the bowel will cause pain. Probiotics are the best thing you can do for yourself to help that problem.

The pain near the gallbladder might be a pancreas valve (can't remember the right name for it) that is malfunctioning. The pancreas can be affected by the endotoxins released when gut bacteria are killed off. They enter the blood due to gut permeability and the pancreas is very sensitive to endotoxins. The liver might also be overloaded because it is the organ that removes the endotoxins. The endotoxin load due to Crohn's can easily overload the liver.

Have you had a Colonoscopy. The beginning of the year I experienced similar symptons, all tests okay till I had Colonoscopy and my Crohn's had spread. Good luck, take care.

I agree with Keeper... it sounds very much like gas pains. I've experienced this as well. If it persists, call the GI back... it could be that the CD has spread or that you're in some kind of flare-up.

I think it sounds like gas pains too.  They can be horrible.  Were you hurting at the time of the CT?

This is going to sound stange, but look up Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. Not saying this is the problem, but the only way to dignose is that it is the only thing left - all tests come back normal. Husband dealt with it for 18 years before finally getting dignosed. It is basically an abdominal migrane. But you must have all the other tests to rule everything else out. What we discovered is that most docs are still new to this problem.
