Thanks everyone for your prayers and best wishes. Surgery went well and I am now in remission and eating mostly anything I want. Surgery really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, right now I am home still recouping and playing a plethora of video games, I love video games.lol My surgeon took out 8 inches and truthfully it feels like a miracle to not have any pains when eating. AGAIN THANKS:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Party Time! I'm going to work and eating a SCD legal
cookie. Told you you had an angel on your shoulder. Now you can have a life, just don't go overboard on refined foods, white flour, or sugar. Are you at your Aunt's house? How is your Grandfather?

I'm home I re-analyzed my decision of going to my aunts, becuase everyone seemed to come together on the day of my surgery. My stepmom seemed really concerned and my aunts were all there to support me. They all have been contributing to my recovery, either if its groceries are purchasing me a cell phone to keep in contact at all times, I have not been doing a thing since I've been home a week ago today, but I am really getting back on my feet, I have virtually have hardly any pain, just my incision is itchy and I can't stand completley straight up, but almost there. The doc said that the terry strips he placed over my incision would fall off but they haven't as of yet and I'm trying not to tear them off but there are scabs all the way down the incision and it is really itchy. Like when you were small and you fell and scrap your knee and after about
a week it got really itchy and you end up scratching the scab off, that's how it fels but I am not stupid enough to scratch the scab off my incision so reluctantly. LOL My grandfather is doing okay, my stepmom has been doing everything as of now, and she has been taking him with her when he has to go to dialysis on his days, because transportation for him comes after she leaves for work, so I haven't been lifting or doing anything. Just walking around trying to regain my strength, so in two more weeks I'll be able to go shopping and put up christmas decorations and lights, because I am recovering at a remarkable rate, but still taking it easy.

Just be sure not to overdo okay...Remember that you have just had major surgery. Take good care of yourself and don't get too crazy with your diet just yet.

Hi Steph So you are still itchy .That will soon be gone too and lucky you no staples. I was thinking of Christmas today and it won't be many more weeks before I will be thinking about
decorations. Hope the snow stays away for awhile here.I am hoping Santa will get me a electric snow shovel as it sure would come in handy. Glad to see you are playing some of your games as you enjoy them. I played a few with my teen today. She was asking about
you. lol gail

Yeah, the holidays are upon us. Two more weeks and I'll be stuffing myself with turkey and stuffing, and this year I won't have to stop and curl up from the pain of crohn's. It is so relieving to be able to eat and not have pain. Just keeping up with my ,maintenece meds and relaxing. We usually decrate I'll tree the day after Thanksgiving, I'm so thankful just to still be here, and realized for the first time that this disease is beatable and I won't give up.

I'm so glad everything went well for you. But please all of you stop with the Christmas! I'm still working on Thanksgiving. I'm in the middle of making rolls, pies and sweet breads. No one on either side of my family knows how to cook so I have to do it all. I have to start weeks in advance. I can't even think Christmas until the week after Thanksgiving! Ok rant over. Back to wishing you well.
