I ask because my hair has been faling out terribly and I went t seattle to a dermotologist and she tested my ferritin level which shows how much iron your body has stored. Its not the same as the standard iron test normally done in your blood work. Anyway it was 17 and needs to be 75 for hair growth and to stop hair loss. I was given asn articel by someone who said celiacs can cause this iron loss so I am wondering if I would already have been tested for that or if that would have been diagnosed in the colonoscopy.
Anyof you with hair loss please have them check your ferritin levels !! There is hope to get the hair back if we can get the levels up.
