jerseys surgery

        . It is still real sore    Hello it is the next day.The dr that did my ct and put the drains in came to see me this morning. I told him my surgeon was talking about letting me go home with the drains in and coming back in next week for a scan and to see about taking them out. There is not a lot of draining today. I had to have another bag of potassium though. I went on oral medication.My stomach is still really swollen and from the surgery around my belly button my bottom incision is oozing. Is this normal?  You poor thing if i had to wear these drains that long i would go insane. They did not do a cat scan before surgery only a colonoscopy. And wow he said they were the biggest absesses he'd ever seen. He thinks i might have had a small tear that fixed itself.The surgeon hasn't said anything like that. Now how would it fix its self? I can eat regular  foods though  I wouldn't mind going home but i live 45 minutes away and don't need to be rushing back so will see how tonight goes. Any thoughts? Jersey

How long have you been there? It usually runs to 5/6 days, and really you do need the rest....
