Hi everyone! A month ago, I started Entocort. My gastro's assistant told me to stay on Pentasa while taking Entocort until my next appointment, perhaps after two months. The goal was to make sure I didn't flare when I went off the Pentasa. But I don't see how one will be able to tell until I go off of the Pentasa itself, and I think one month or even less is enough time. In the last one to two days I ran out of the meds so I've been off of them. Normally with just Pentasa I would be feeling ill after skipping a day's worth, but since I was also taking Entocort, I haven't felt ill yet. I think this is due to Entocort being a corticosteroid so it stays in the system for a longer time. For all those who are curious, I did notice a big difference when I first started Entocort. For a week I felt incredibly healthy, and I combined that with multi-vitamins, vitamin D, and slow-absorbing iron. That affect isn't as strong anymore but I still feel okay. So, should I go back on the Pentasa, or just stay on the Entocort for now? Do you have any personal experience?
