I am out of the hospital, and my doctor gave me Prilosec (Omeprazole). I am still waiting to see if the blood will go away. Anyone have any experience with this drug?

Yes I take 60 mg per day. I have Crohns disease and also suffer with Gerd/Acid Reflux. It really helps to keep the stomach acid down.

What are your symptoms of reflux? I do not even think I have any.

I take this drug and LOVE it! I have esophagittis (spelling?) plus Crohn's and Prilosec REALLY helps with the horrible, painful reflux and heart burn I get.

I started taking it when my prescript
ion drug plan took NEXIUM off it's preferred list. I take the prescribed kind, not the OTC kind. Don't know that there's a difference in that, though. Seems like there SHOULD be...
I've had no problems with it. It usually keeps my stomach from an aching/burning feeling. Heartburn? Acid reflux? I don't know. Never been Dx'ed with either.

I do and it works really well for me. I notice a difference when I am late picking up my prescript
ion for this..the acid and hernia are NOT fun. I haven't noticed any side effects either.

I take the OTC dose for heartburn. It works really well for me. If I don't take it I get heartburn/GERD in the middle of the night and sometimes end up throwing up. Bad.
