my surgery

   Hello everyone. I went back to the surgeon and the radiologist today. I saw the surgeon first. He looks at my stomach and says everything looks and feels good. Remember i had 4 drains put in went home thanksgiving and am still having trouble. i had 4 abcessess. I then went to see radiologist. He tells me we can take out 2 more drains which still leaves me with one. He says i have a fistula and i had a small tear in my intestines from surgery. I think thats what caused all the abcessesss. Now i have to go back next week to see how all that is doing. I ask him if i will need surgery to fix this and he doesn't know yet. I don't know if it sounds like these drs know what is going on. the surgeons has never admitted i have a tear yet. The radiologist tells me the most Will a fistula go away from drains and will a tear fix itself? I am stillvery weak and am now getting frusterated about when this will all end. Let me know what anyone thinks.

  Thank you Gail. He told me all 4 drains were connected inside so he said the other cavities looked good, but he still needs the one to drain or i would fill up with pus. There is about 60 cc a day drainining out of it. It is reddish looking too. I don't know what a fistula is and i have one of those too. Will it drain on its on or have to be removed too? I am going to call him tomorrew and get some answers from him. I think it is very unprofessional of him not to tell me. Everyone says they come for miles to have him do there surgeries and that he is good,but he hasn't told me nothing, He always has the radiologist tell me the news after i see him. He sends me down for ct scan and him.
