Interesting to hear all the replies so far. Your input is much appreciated. I have lived with pretty severe disease since I was 12 years old. I'm 34 now. Have had my appendix out, but have never let them take any intestine. Only problem now is that if I eat heavy, I get what feels like a temporary blockage which causes some pretty bad pain for a couple of days.
Other than that... I'm a pretty healthy, male, who works his butt off in his business.
I actually just got back from 9 hours of greulling snow shovelling. My brother plows, other brother shovels with him, but it was so deep it took 4 of us twice as long.
Anyway, if anyone else has comments about having the valve removed it would be appreciated. Seems to me that the after effects are pretty much the same as a crohn's patient's diet... unpredictible what's going to happen until you try it.
Thanks all. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. For those that want politically correct. Have a Happy Holiday Season. Will check back every couple of days.
Chris
