For the past two weeks, I've had HUGE swollen feet. Prior to then, it was happening sometimes but not all the time. I'm on humira, cipro, and pentasa. Humira folks said it could be side effect and to call doc. Doc said he didn't really know what to do. Anyone have this issue? It's beginning to really scare me and I haven't worn a skirt in eons and even my comfy slippers are tight. UGH!

Hi, i would see a rheumy doctor you may have arthritis in your feet.

Sammies,
Part of this depends on how old you are? Plus how active you are? Because you might need to get your heart examined (ekg, echo, and maybe a halter moniter) When you push on the swelling does the dent stay there after your fingers are gone?
Please make sure that your feet (and probably your knees too) are elevated above your heart when you sleep at night. I have found that couch cushions work well.

Thanks for the replies. MMM --I turn 37 tomorrow (12/20). Never had heart trouble. Yes, the dent stays there for a while after I press it. I'm keeping up with my regular activities but I am not exercising.

Kasper--I don't have swollen hands but my face looks a little bit swollen in the pm. I do urinate an awful lot in the the middle of the night but it doesn't seem to help the swelling.

Gail--thanks for the good wishes. Some days I do feel quite good. Today wasn't one of them. R-v fistula decided to become a faucet during Christmas shopping. Ran to the Walmart bathroom 3 times (so ran out of pads) and messed my underwear. Didn't have an extra pair--the one time! UGH!!
