For the second time in two weeks I got a voicemail from the claim rep with my long-term disability insurance company that basically said "Well, I'm leaving early for the day. Call me back tomorrow!" No information about my claim at all. Why? Last time I only had to wait until the next day, and it turned out she was just calling to tell me that there was nothing new to report. I still stewed all night long. This time she's done it to me on Christmas Eve, and I have to wait until Monday morning! I was perfectly happy, relaxing on my couch and admiring my Christmas tree, until I got that message. Now I'm all upset and stressed out. I almost cried when I tried to call her back and got nothing but voicemail. She left another name and extension for "urgent" situations, but that voicemail said that the second woman left for the holiday a full hour before I received the initial call. Why do they have to do that? I'd rather get no phone call at all than a message that is just going to upset me with no way to resolve it until after the holiday.
