Question

Hello there, Im new to this forum. My name is Trevor and im 22 yrs old. I have had crohn's disease since I was 13, and I had surgery when i was 15, and had 4 feet of my small boul removed. I have been doing very well since the surgery up untill about 4 months ago. I started getting pain in my lower left part of my stomach. I recently went to my specialist and he put me on some new medication. He seems to think im having spasms. The medication he has put me on doesnt seem to be doing anything but making the pain worse. He has me on Buscopan, and salofalk. One is like an anti-inflamitory and the other is like a muscle relaxant. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problems as me and if there on the same medication or different medication, and if its working for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Trevor Welcome to Healing Well there is good support here.Does your Dr. think you have IBS with your crohn's that would be what the buscopan is sometimes used for I think,seems I might have used it before perhaps you need to see a GI and go from there. Are you on B-12 as a lot of us have low B-12 especially after a resection I take a shot once a month for it and multily vitamin and Vitamin D ,I need to pick up some calcium soon with D . Seems your resection brought you some relief for awhile.lol gail
