Azathiprine/Liver

For the past year my CBC has shown my liver profile to be steadily increasing. This didn't start happening until my azathioprine was increased from 75 mg day to 100 mg day. I'm still not in therapeutic range. How abnormal should it be before I stop azathioprine?

Alk Phosphatase = 52

(SGOt) AST= 75

(SGPT) alt= 59

What about fatty liver? Is that anything to be concerned about?

If my liver is not working correctly? I assume that is why some other results are abnormal.

Really more of a doctor question Rob. But generally, when lever enzymes go up you have to decrease your dose. I don't think fatty liver is a huge deal.

What is your GI saying about the issue? Also, sometimes switching from azathioprine to 6MP decreases the liver problems. Not always, but in some people it works. I'd pin my GI down about the rise in liver values, state my concerns and work out a plan regarding it. Good luck.
