I have a scope scheduled for next week. My prep is to take 2 Bisacodyl tablets and then drink PEG 3350. What exactly are these 2 things. I have a pre-written Rx for the drink that I'll get next week, I'm assuming I can just ask the pharmacist for the tablets as well?
Thanks!

You can get the Bisacodyl tablets for cheap over the counter. Dulcolax is the brand name, but it's a lot more money then the generics. Wal-mart's Equate brand is the cheapest (of course). It's only $2 for a package of them. You can also find a generic at drugstores like CVS and Walgreens.

My New Gi told me to only take the Generic of Ducolax which I bought the walmart brand. The day before all clear liquids and then took 8 of the laxitives and that worked like a charm I was completely clean out.

The last time I had a colonoscopy, I had to take 4 of the bisacoydl tablets and half of the tri-litley. Much better than drinking the whole freakin container!

Check with the pharmacist before buying anything- I did this prep a few weeks ago and the pills and powdered drink came together in one prescript
ion. You may not need to buy anything extra.
