idea   eyes shocked smhair Hi just noticed my eye lashes seem to have gotten almost invisible ,a better word for almost missing. Well just wandering how I'am supposed to be a flirt when the lashes seem dry and where do eye lashes go when they are not as long and nice as they used to be. rolleyes I know it's probably just a part of CD but I want them back ...lol gail

I'd donate some of my eyelashes... but... I need as many as I can to be all cute and stuff... Sorry!! :)

Well maybe its the perfect excuse to wear some big, full, long, glamorous glue-on lashes!!  Prance around in those things and make your neighbors envious!   Or stunned....

Vicky I'am not convinced it's old age yet seems Celey ..is still able to bat the lashes hmmm be waiting for more info on this and what about the men have you noticed your not as handsome as you used to be? lol gail

the FDA approved a drug to regrow and lengthen eyelashes...my eyelashes are still good, I usually wear make up so it's good that after all these yrs of wearing it my eyelashes are still good...I doubt skimpy or lack of eye lashes has a lot to do with CD, it's probably more a genetic inheritance thing like hairy arms, bushy eyebrows, thin or thick head hair.

Hi Fallcolors no glue doesn't sound good to me and I been prancing from one thing to another here lately but no one is envious..

PB4.. No I had good lashes and now they are just not the same seemed to start after I got CD problems wandering if might have been med related like pred. or Rem. or something lol gail

Keep in mind as we age things tend to change (not to mention our bodies change every 7 yrs LOL) so that also could be the result of your lash problem, my mom had nice lashes, now she barely has any, she's 81 and it was when she was around her 40's that she noticed her lashes became weaker/shorter, ect so it's something that may have to do with your meds, but not necessarily since it's really no different then our hair thinning as we age, boobs sagging, you get the idea.

Not to worry Gail, I'll wait until my son falls asleep on the settee and pinch some of his, he has very thick long lashes.......so wasted on a guy.!!!

No problems with my eyelashes either. Mine are still long and strong and I think we are about the same age.

Nanners yes I think I have a few years above you , and so it must be something else perhaps, were you ever on Rem. or Imuran or have eye problems after getting off pred.?I guess I"ll do a search on eye lashes ,would at least like to know where they went and if they are coming back..lol gail

Maybe its from the Pred you took recently. I know my hair (on my head) is still shedding alot from my recent round with Pred. Just a thought!

Yeah.... My hair (on my head and nowhere else unfortunately) is still shedding, too... I find hair everywhere... I feel like a Pug... *LOL*


And Pb4... Man, you've summed me up in a nutshell pretty much..... Hairy arms... bushy eyebrows... GAAAAAAHHHH!!!! Well... I think the problem isn't the hair so much as the fact that its very dark... which makes it stand out more... 'cause... well... there's girls with blonde armhair that's practically invisible....

Celey just turn the light on and pray I guess . I know it seems to want to grow where no man wants to, venture out into space..I try to think of it as a new adventure ,a blanket of warmth.. ahh darned if does and darned if it don't...give me more give me less.. never satisfied..hmm I could go on.. lol gail

yep, still got a full load on top! maybe thining a bit but still covered... my dad never went bald, and niether did my two gramps, so i think im pretty safe.. one thing though i can promise, i will NEVER do a comb over! ill shave the head first before i get that desparate.. and no skullet pony tails either! why compensate out back for the lack of top cover? if uor wondering what a skullet is, try mulletjunky.com..

I think it could definitely be due to medicine...my mother and aunt are in their late 40's early 50's and still have their lovely lashes, but I've noticed mine thin a little after all of the medication. They came back for a while when I was off the pred actually...so who knows? But I bet you're beautiful with or without them :)

LMills thanks your post was very sweet and at my age beauty isn't everything but sometimes I'd just like my body to not have so many not so funky things going on. I am trying some natural tear drops the Dr. said it might help moisten them some .Yah I did a short bit of pred. for 5 days at xmas and maybe that's the problem thanks for being such a good friend and I enjoy your post. lol gail

Randy some bald men are very attractive so nowadays you don't have to worry, years ago it was almost a scandal to be bald. lol gail

I didn't lose any eyelashes on the Prednisone but I lost half the hair on my head and it actually came back Curly!!! I never had curly hair a day in my life and men actually flirt with me now more than ever before!

Cutie Yes I had lost a whack of hair a few years ago my body was so malnourished and it grew in curly but mostly still straight. I remember the hospital floor looked like a hair saloon. lol gail

Oh Randy-thank you for no comb overs,lol. OMG those things look so hideous and just make the bald thing look even worse. Why do some of these men not git it.lol. My husband & I go to a coffee shop sometimes and there are a few old men in there with comb overs and one has a really, really, bad rug. Its all I can do to keep a straight face while sitting there. The bad rug guy looks like someone in the cartoons the way he styles his rug, oh its just awful.My son-in-law always had short curly hair, but it started receding-so he shaved his head, he looks awesome. Now, I cannot imagine him w/hair. Just think no hair in the sink or the shower.

When I was on prednisone I lost some eyelashes, and about half my eyelashes on my right eye started to curl right back to my eyelid... not a nice curl... if I tried to put mascara on I got it all over my eyelid... it looked really strange... I have been off prednisone for about 2 years now and they have just recently gone back to normal...
