Ribbon poop! sorry im new....

I love this forum! Finally people i can talk to about poo! I have ribbon poop and was wondering if that is something you can end up having surgery for? I feel like because of the scarring it slows down my bowel movements so much. I don't often get D but can go a week without going to the toilet and not because of constipation but slow scarred intestines. This leaves me bloated, grumpy, feeling unwell and just frumpy and of course crampy pain from blocked gas or who knows? I feel like i would be a normal person if those parts of my intestines where gone...can anyone relate, i'm obviously new to this site.

Thanks for the quick reply, I just feel like i cant go to the toilet without the aid of tablets or drops and feel like my crohn's is pretty well behaved apart from the fatigue and food intolerance. I have tried to talk to my GI about it and although he is a great doctor i just get this look of "yeah that happens when you have crohn's" instead of well these are your long term options. I wondered what the surgery options where for things like that, whether they just like to cut you open if your really sick or whether in fact long term dead bowels as i call them are a serious problem too.

bah ha ha! very funny but i bet that is going to stay with me now...i will never look at it the same again, the playdoh that is! Does scarring from the perianal abscesses and fistulas do this to your doh too? or is it more inside the intestines.

Hey Randy, I looked at your site. I grew up in Sidney Nebraska and remember the Air Force dudes always being around because of the missiles. There was one rather close to a farm house, and a friend and I used to say that if the missile went off, it would take the house with it .

I like Cheyenne too. Almost moved there once. But ultimately, I chose to leave Nebraska for Arizona. Much nicer weather! They even have a brand new Cabela's not far from where I live. Go Cards!
