Is Crohn's more manageable if you catch it early or during a mild flareup?

Or is there really no correlation between when you first discover you have it and prognosis?

If you catch a flareup early is it easier to get it back into remission than if it's been going on for weeks and is really bad before you start treatment?

Unfortunately I don't think there's an easy answer for that...it would seem to make perfect sense that the sooner it's treated the easier it will be to control but with CD nothing is ever simple, some people are prone to being severe or mild or moderate and that has a lot to do with how easy/difficult it can be getting it under control.
