low body temp

Nothing. I always run low. Sometimes 97.2. So when I get a low grade fever of 99.2, I worry. But the docs say not to worry until it hits 100. But I am cold blooded, lol!

Don't worry, low body temp is not a need to worry unless it drops really low.

I'm hoping you are feeling better today. Yesterday I made it to work OK, but today this cedar pollen has me gasping for air. My Temp runs about 94.6-97.4 when I feel well and when I hit 99 I start hallucinating. There are several personal accounts in the forum archives where people have gone to the ER to be told they have normal temps, only to have the GI Dr.'s order a rectal temp, that was 102-104. So I think sometimes we get inflammation and high temps in our GI tracts, and our oral temps remain low.

wow i never thought of that ... my temp is still very up and down today ... any where from 97.2 to 99.2 ... so i guess if your temp is 94.6 then my 97 is just fine

i use 2 thermometers. i use a rectal thermometer that was never used on the rectum.... for my mouth and i get a temp of 100.0. i use an oral that nurses usually use that at the very same point and time gave me a reading of 98.6... and then i stuck it where the sun don't shine and bingo... 100.0 and i clearly was running a temp and burning up.

The bottom line... use the bottom for the bottom line :)
