I'm tapering Pred...down to 5 mgs. 

Also taking 100 mg of 6-MP

I have been getting bad headaches everyday for the past 5 days or so...

could this be from the taper or 6-mp?

I've been on te 6-MP for about 2 months now...

I got a screaming bad headache(bad enough that I need to see the neurologist and get the injections) this last(started Monday 3AM) week too and I know you are also a Zonnie in the Baseline area(I live in Laveen)...could the high wind/pollen and extremely low humidity also be a factor? I was reading some papers that just weather "changes" (not tied to a specific indicator) was enough to trigger some migraines. Not that I'm discounting the problems due to your meds...

hi there. could be the weather, but it's never bothered me before...
this wind has been crazy huh?
we actually live up off carefree hwy now...40 mph + for hours last night...it was really cool

I had terrible headaches while tapering the pred. Every single day. So I went to my doctor and he slowed my taper down. Had to go back up to 10 mg and do a slower taper yet. Worked like a charm though, no more headaches.

Yeah...lots of stuff got knocked down, it sounded as if my house was going to be blown down and I didn't see no sign of any wolf either or a wicked witch...claritin and I have become best buds...

I thought maybe my killer headache was from spending too much time in the sun and wind (went to Luke days on Sunday)...

again, I'm not discounting the medication notion either...just my neurologist also mentioned also having a higher number of calls...

How fast are you tapering?

i jacked my pred back up to 15 today...trying the slower taper i was 60...50...40...30...20...10...5 for a week each...just started 5 the other day so maybe that's it...i couldn't take it anymore though- tylenol was doing nothing...no headaches today yet...only 9:30 though! hah

So glad you don't have a headache today. My taper at the end so I didn't get headaches was really slow. I had done a taper similar to yours at first, and boy those headaches were wicked.

I suffer from migraines...best thing that works for me is fiorecet....hope they go away soon...

so it's 8:00 pm and i went all day will out a serious headache!! woohoo!!
no sure if it's related, but i bumped the pred back to 15 mgs today...i think i'll stay here for a bit and then head back down again!

dealing with the crohns is bad enough...throw these headaches on top of it and holy &^%$!!

Get a blood test done to see how your iron levels are. I have constant headaches when my iron is low, which is all the time.
