So, evidently my insurance company isn't going to pay for Humira, and so my GI doctor's office gave me a form to enroll in the assistance program. I was wondering if anyone on here has ever went through this program? I am a bit concerned about
coverage... I am a full time student living at home, and working at a fast food joint. My concern comes in when they ask about
income. Do they want to know about
my parents information even though I am 22? They can hardly make it go as it is, and they told me rather bluntly that they can't help with anything over a normal copay. I guess I should be thankful that I seem to have a mild case this time around, just some discomfort, nausea, and D.

I get my Humira through the Patient Assistance Foundation. I would think that at 22, only your income would count. I'm 34, and live with my parents, but I'm considered my own household. I'd give them a phone call to ask for certain. They've always been very friendly and helpful when I've called.

Just give your income. Otherwise you would not qualify.

I am applying this week, sometimes it helps to handwrite why you need the assistance. Good luck.

I do not live with my parents BUT, they ask for a recent check and fortunately for me I didn't work overtime the last week. Then, I submitted an estimate of what my monthly bills are.
My insurance only pays for %75 of medication and I knew I would not be able to afford it.
Surprisingly they called me and told me that I am qualified for 6 months free. Made me feel a lot better.
Good luck to you.
